Salt Nic vs. Freebase: Which Is Right for You?
This comes down to your hardware, not your taste. Putting the wrong type in the wrong device is the most common mistake we fix in store.
Choose Salt Nic (30ml or 60ml) if:
- You vape a pod system or low wattage MTL kit (Caliburn, XROS, Nord style devices).
- You want a smooth throat hit even at 20mg/mL. Salt nic is far easier on the throat than freebase at the same strength.
- You're a former smoker who wants quick nicotine satisfaction from a compact device.
Choose Freebase 60ml if:
- You run a sub ohm tank or direct lung (DTL) device built for bigger clouds.
- You want the fuller flavour and vapour freebase produces at higher wattage. The freebase runs a 70VG/30PG blend at 3mg or 6mg.
The quick rule: small pod means salt nic. Bigger tank or mod means freebase. Important: Flavour Drop Salt is not suitable for sub ohm tanks or high wattage direct lung devices. Sour Peach Ice is now called Juicy Peach Ice. It's still an iced peach flavour and is available in all three formats. If you want peach without the ice, try the new Juicy Peach.
What is the difference between salt nic and freebase?
Salt nicotine is smooth on the throat and built for low wattage pod systems. Freebase gives a stronger throat hit at higher power and suits sub ohm tanks and direct lung devices. Your device determines which you should use. Don't put salt nic in a sub ohm tank.
