Geek Bar Pulse 2 Canada

We sell Geek Bar every single day across 15 stores in Saskatchewan and Alberta, plus online to every province in Canada. So when a new Pulse lands, we don't need a press release to tell us whether it matters. We watch what people buy, what they come back for, and what they ask about at the till.

The Geek Bar Pulse 2 80K is the direct successor to the original Pulse, and it's the biggest jump the line has taken: up to 80,000 puffs from a 20mL tank at $34.25, which undercuts the Pulse X 25K on price while multiplying its rated life. Here's our honest breakdown of what's new, who it's for, and how it stacks up against everything else we carry.

Quick picks: which Geek Bar disposable?

Category Our pick Why
Best value per puff Geek Bar Pulse 2 80K 80,000 puffs at $34.25, VPU chip, adjustable airflow
Biggest tank STLTH x Geek Bar 80K 30mL, dual coil dual tank, 20 flavours
Proven all rounder Geek Bar Pulse X 25K 3D curved screen, 20 flavours, smaller commitment per device
Most compact Geek Bar Pulse 9000 Pocket friendly, lowest cost of entry at $30.25

What's new in the Pulse 2

The headline change is under the hood. The Pulse 2 pairs the familiar dual mesh coil with Geek Bar's new VPU chip, a processing unit that actively manages power delivery and e-liquid flow. Most disposables taste great for the first third of the tank and fade from there. The VPU is built to prevent exactly that, holding output steady so the last quarter of the tank tastes like the first. That efficiency is also how 80,000 puffs comes out of a 20mL tank without the device getting any bigger.

The most visible change is the dome full screen display, a raised curved screen showing battery, e-liquid level, and active mode in real time. With a tank this size you'll be living with the device for weeks, and guessing how much juice is left is not a game you want to play. The third upgrade is the adjustable airflow slider, something the Pulse X locked to whatever the mode gave you. Closed down it's a tight mouth to lung draw; opened up it's a looser pull with more vapour.

Who it's for: Anyone who liked the original Pulse or the Pulse X and wants the same familiar form factor with far more life per device, at a lower price than the Pulse X.

Two modes: Regular and Pulse

A switch at the base toggles between the two. No menus, no settings screens. Regular Mode is the everyday setting, tuned for efficiency and the full rated puff count. Pulse Mode raises the output for a warmer, denser draw with stronger flavour, at the cost of noticeably faster e-liquid and battery use.

One honest note before the big number sells you: a puff count is a ceiling, not a promise. Long draws, chain vaping, and time in Pulse Mode all pull the real world figure down. The 800mAh battery is also modest relative to the 20mL tank, so plan on charging daily with heavy use. The USB-C fast charge takes the sting out, reaching about 80% in roughly 20 minutes.

Who it's for: Run Regular all day, save Pulse for when you want a stronger session. If you'd live in boost mode permanently, a fixed high output device like the STLTH Titan Max is the better fit.

Device E-liquid Puffs Battery Coil Modes Flavours Price
Geek Bar Pulse 2 80K 20mL 80,000 800mAh Dual mesh + VPU chip Regular/Pulse 16 $34.25

Geek Bar Pulse X 25K 20mL 25,000 820mAh Dual mesh Regular/Pulse 20 $36.75
Geek Bar Pulse 9000 16mL 9,000 650mAh Dual mesh Normal/Boost 20 $30.25

All devices use 20mg/mL nicotine salt and charge via USB-C.

The short version: the Pulse 2 80K matches the STLTH x Geek Bar 80K's puff rating for $8.00 less, and comes in $2.50 under the Pulse X 25K with more than triple the rated life. The STLTH collab keeps the edge on tank size and flavour count, and the Pulse 9000 keeps the edge on pocketability. What about pod systems?

If you're going through disposables regularly, a reusable pod system saves serious money over time. You keep the device and just replace the pod, so you're not paying for a new battery and screen every round.

Pod system Puffs per pod E-liquid Battery Flavours
OXBAR Maglink 90K 90,000 30mL 1500mAh 35
STLTH Loop Max (Vice) 80,000 30mL 1000mAh 20

The Pulse 2's cost per puff is strong for a disposable, but if you're buying more than one or two devices a month, the pod route wins the long game. Our Maglink 90K review runs the numbers.

How to choose

How much do you vape? Daily and heavy, the Pulse 2 80K or the STLTH x Geek Bar 80K will run for weeks. Lighter or social use, the Pulse 9000 is cheaper and won't outlast the flavour's appeal.

Does the draw matter to you? The Pulse 2's adjustable airflow slider is the only one in the Pulse family that lets you tune the draw independently of the mode. If you like a tight mouth to lung pull, that alone is worth the pick.

Tank size or hardware? The STLTH x Geek Bar 80K carries 10mL more juice for $8.00 more. The Pulse 2 has the newer chip, the better screen, and the lower price. Same rated puffs either way.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does the Geek Bar Pulse 2 actually last?

Up to 80,000 puffs in Regular Mode from the 20mL tank. Real world count depends on draw length, frequency, and how much time you spend in Pulse Mode, which uses e-liquid and battery faster. The on screen indicator shows exactly where you stand.

Is the Geek Bar Pulse 2 rechargeable?

Yes. The 800mAh battery recharges over USB-C and reaches about 80% in roughly 20 minutes. Recharging tops up the battery only; the 20mL of e-liquid is prefilled and can't be refilled. Once the juice is gone, the device is done.

What is the VPU chip?

It's Geek Bar's processing unit that manages power delivery and e-liquid flow inside the device. It reduces wasted juice and keeps flavour consistent as the tank empties, which is how the Pulse 2 reaches its puff rating from a 20mL tank.

What nicotine strength is the Canadian Pulse 2?

20mg/mL nicotine salt, the maximum strength allowed for vaping products in Canada under Health Canada rules. This applies across the entire Geek Bar lineup we stock.

How does it compare to the Geek Bar Pulse X 25K?

Both hold 20mL at 20mg/mL. The Pulse 2 80K adds the VPU chip, the dome full screen, the adjustable airflow slider, and more than triple the rated puffs, at $2.50 less. The Pulse X 25K carries more flavours (20 vs 16) and remains a proven pick if you prefer a smaller commitment per device.

How does it compare to the STLTH x Geek Bar 80K?

Both are rated up to 80,000 puffs, but they get there differently. The STLTH x Geek Bar 80K carries a larger 30mL tank and 20 flavours; the Pulse 2 uses a 20mL tank with the VPU chip's more efficient e-liquid management, costs $8.00 less, and adds the adjustable airflow slider. Biggest tank, go STLTH. Newest hardware at the lower price, go Pulse 2.
